APA Style
Counseling classes require that papers cite sources in APA Style. Students should the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association as a primary resource. APA style citations require in-text parenthetical citations and a References page. Please note that MHGS formatting guidelines indicate neither a title page nor an abstract is required; MHGS Formatting Guidelines supersede APA formatting where the two disagree.
The APA Style @ Mars Hill Graduate School handout provides examples for frequently used citation types in appropriate APA Style.
The MHGS APA Style Sample Paper provides a model for formatting, APA style, and academic writing conventions.
