Becoming a Host Church
At MHGS Conferences, we desire to step into your context and also invite you into ours. In that, we partner with “Host Churches” all over the country to bring these conferences and workshops to their community. As a host church, we will work with you to determine your specific desire and create a conference or workshop together based on the needs of your church and community. Whether it is a marriage conference, a story workshop, or a leadership crucible for your small group leaders, our passion is to co-create a transformative experience with you to further the gospel.
If you would like to partner with MHGS Conferences or would like more information, I would love to talk with you! Here are some first steps for you to consider:
1. What topic best fits the need/desire of the community?
Peruse the material in the packet and get an idea of the different topics we cover. These are templates that we have developed over the years but we are also able to create something specific for you.
2. Which type of conference are you interested in?
Consider which conference model best suites your church. Do you want a large scale seminar with 200-400 people from your community? Or are you more interested in a workshop on story or leadership?
3. What dates work for you?
We are currently booking the fall of 2009 and the spring of 2010.
4. Have you read through the financial agreement and the Host Manual?
We have designed the conferences to be very “do-able” for churches but want to make every effort to ensure that a community understands the ins and outs of what it takes to put a conference on. It is our hope that the preparation process is as smooth as possible for both our teams. To that end, we have created detailed manuals and financial agreements to ensure transparency and a coordinated effort. Our hope with these manuals is that they not overwhelm you with details, but rather ease your mind that everything has been thought through on behalf of your church as well as the participants. Please glance over these helpful items keeping in mind that this is somewhat of a base line and that we can work to meet your specific needs.

The topics of these conferences change over the years and we usually do 4-5 events annually and range between 250 – 600 attendees.
