speaking

Events for Men:

The myths and legends that move our hearts as men - the stories of adventure, beauty, and valor we long not only to tell but to be told about us - call us to suffer. But in a broken world, where the mark of a man is often his struggle with futility, our suffering rarely yields the stuff of legends: the type of life we long for - in our marriages, our friendships, our work, our life with God.

It is small wonder then, that we forget our call to remember and the Christ who call us to 'take up our cross' and follow Him. And yet, though we forget we are not forgotten. As men, we are pursued by name - in the midst of the futility of our suffering - to be found 'blessed' by Jesus Christ, the one now loose in the world among us.

The focus of Doug and Paul's time will be on the interplay of blessing, suffering, and remembrance as revealed in Scripture.
