Chicago Style

Theology and Biblical studies classes require that papers be formatted in Chicago Style. MHGS MDiv professors recommend utilizing Kate Turabian's A Manual for Writers as a primary reference text and The Chicago Manual of Style as a secondary reference text. Chicago Style utilizes footnotes and a Bibligraphy page. Note that MHGS Formatting Guidelines supersede Chicago Style where the two disagree.

The Chicago Style @ Mars Hill Graduate School handout provides examples for frequently used types of Chicago Style footnotes and bibliographic entries.

The MHGS Chicago Style Sample Paper provides a model for formatting, Chicago style, and academic writing conventions.
